Eleni Manousogiannakis, MPH, joins the Medina County Health Department as the Executive Director of the Medina County Health Center. The Medina County Health Center, a division of the health department, became a federally qualified health center last summer, which means that it now provides more services than ever before.
“Becoming a federally qualified health center enables the health department to provide medical and dental care to everyone in our community, preventing disease and promoting well-being for all citizens of Medina County” said Krista Wasowski, Medina County Health Commissioner.
Did you know that the Medina County Health Center offers primary care, chronic disease management, preventive screenings for men and women, immunizations, as well as complete dental care? A one stop for both medical and dental care!
The Medina County Health Center, conveniently located in the Medina County Health Department at 4800 Ledgewood Drive in Medina, is available to any and every individual who would like to be seen. All insurance types are accepted – employer-sponsored plans, Medicaid and Medicare. A sliding fee scale is also available based upon family size and income. No insurance? We can take care of you. We also assist with Medicaid applications.
Prior to joining the Health Department, Eleni served for 10 years at other federally qualified health centers, both on the west coast and in Ohio. She has been in the health care field for about 20 years and brings perspectives from nonprofit, for-profit and health plan experience. She was born and raised in Akron and is excited to return and provide value to the residents of Medina County.
