Marketplace & Medicaid

What is the difference? Our Social Worker will work with you to help you understand the difference and what is right for you.

  • Referrals for food/shelter/clothing
  • Assist families and residents in obtaining SNAP benefits
  • Free eye exam/free glasses voucher
  • Help families apply for a nursing home/show how to get their relatives eligible
  • Referrals for alcohol/drug addiction treatment
  • Set up transportation for Medina County Health Department medical/dental specific appointments
  • Referrals based on your needs

Mental Health Counseling

If you or someone you know is battling mental health issues, know that you are not alone.

Our Social Worker is ready to listen and can provide “talk therapy” based on the individual’s situation or refer to an additional outside resource within the county.

Meet the Professional

Hello, my name is Elishia. I am the Health Center Social Worker here at the Medina County Health Department.

I am a graduate from Cleveland Heights high school, and I attended the University of Toledo where I graduated with a BSW in 2005. I received my LSW in 2022.
