Medina County COVID-19 Bivalent Booster Clinic – Wadsworth

Loading Events

This clinic is free and open to anyone in the public. Proof of health insurance is not required. The Omicron booster doses, also called bivalent doses, are updated version of the original vaccines and were recently authorized by the FDA and recommended by the CDC. Anyone 12 or older who completed their COVID-19 primary series is eligible for the updated booster vaccine. MCHD especially encourages anyone over the age of 50 to consider getting an updated booster.

“Getting an updated COVID-19 booster is the most effective way to prevent serious illness and hospitalization from COVID-19,” Medina County Health Commissioner Krista Wasowski stated. “The updated booster not only boosts immunity against the original COVID-19 strain, but it also protects against the newer Omicron strain which is accounting for the majority of current new infections. The best way to protect yourself and those around you is to get vaccinated and boosted if eligible.”

Community members that are interested in attending a clinic can register at armorvax.com or call 330-723-9688 (select option 2) to schedule an appointment.
