COVID-19 Vaccine Scheduling Information

COVID-19 vaccines are available at the Medina County Health Department. Residents may schedule an appointment by calling us at 330-723-9688, option 1. If you aren’t sure which vaccine you or your child is eligible for, visit CDC’s COVID-19 vaccination schedule for a visual summary of which vaccine you or your child can receive.

Everyone 6 months and older is eligible for a COVID-19 vaccine. Read more about the vaccine and timing on the CDC’s website.

If you’ve had COVID-19 or a previous COVID-19 vaccination, it’s still important to stay up to date on COVID-19 vaccinations

The CDC reminds us that vaccination remains the best protection against COVID-19 -related hospitalization and death. Vaccination also reduces your chance of suffering the effects of Long COVID. If you have not received a COVID-19 vaccine in the past 2 months, it is recommended to get an updated COVID-19 vaccine for best protection.

Due to the end of the COVID-19 emergency declaration, manufacturers are charging for vaccines, but most people should still be able to get them for free.

  • If you have health insurance: Vaccination should be free. Check with your provider for details specific to coverage and any potential vaccine costs.
  • If you don’t have health insurance: Options are available to still get vaccinated at no cost to you. Call us at 330-723-9688, option 1, to get more information on available options.

In addition the Health Department, the vaccine is widely available at other locations throughout Medina County. Registration is separate from the Health Department and may vary from location to location.
