Public Health Nurse

Position: Public Health Nurse

Employment Status: Non-Exempt, Full time (40 hrs/wk)

Wage: Hourly, commensurate with qualifications and experience.

The Medina County Health Department, a nationally accredited health department, has a full-time opening for a Public Health Nurse (PHN). The PHN participates in public health programs including immunizations, communicable disease control, services to children with medical handicaps, health screenings, and selected grant-sponsored programs.

General Qualifications (including but not limited to):

Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Ohio; Bachelor of Science in Nursing from an accredited college or university required. Minimum two years of nursing experience required. Prior experience in Public Health Nursing or Community Health Nursing setting is preferred

Licensed Social Worker- Medina/Wadsworth

Position: Licensed Social Worker- Medina/Wadsworth

Employment Status:  Non-Exempt, Full time (40 hrs/wk)

Wage:  Hourly, commensurate with qualifications and experience.

 General Qualifications (including but not limited to):

The Medina County Health Department, a nationally accredited health department, has a full-time opening for a Licensed Social Worker (LSW). The LSW performs counseling, diagnostic evaluations, outreach, education and referrals for our clients and families.

Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work from an accredited college is required. Must be a licensed Social Worker in the state of Ohio. Outstanding oral and written communications and public speaking skills required. Excellent computer skills with the ability to quickly adapt and become proficient using multiple software and cloud applications required. Community-based case management and training experience preferred. Experience working in a Federally Qualified Health Center or similar setting preferred. Spanish speaking a plus. Certified Application Counselor preferred or achieve certification within 30 days of training.
